FARMX TREE connects physical monitoring in the field with digital insight for the people responsible for protecting the palms.

A dedicated sensor is installed directly on each monitored palm, where it captures signals from within the tree. Information from the sensors is transmitted through the FARMX TREE gateway and made available through the digital monitoring platform.

This creates a connected monitoring network across individual palms, plantations and larger sites — giving teams a practical way to follow sensor activity and identify palms that may require closer attention.

The sensor

One palm. One dedicated sensor.

Each monitored palm is equipped with a dedicated FARMX TREE seismic sensor, installed directly on the trunk and connected to that individual tree within the monitoring system.

The sensor is designed to capture and analyse vibrations from within the palm associated with internal pest activity, including movement from red palm weevil larvae.

By monitoring each palm individually, FARMX TREE creates a digital connection between the physical tree and the monitoring platform — helping teams identify which specific palms may require closer inspection.

Every FARMX TREE deployment starts with the site itself. The palm population, layout, connectivity and operational requirements are assessed to create a monitoring setup adapted to the project.

Selected palms are equipped with dedicated FARMX TREE sensors and registered within the monitoring system, creating a digital connection between each physical tree and the platform.

Gateway placement and network configuration are planned around the site, while the monitoring workflow is aligned with the team responsible for reviewing alerts and carrying out field inspections.
